Step 1: Complete room planning and shielding

Prepare the shielding design before construction or installation. Keep the final plan and calculations.

Step 2: Create a Community Portal account

Open the portal, register the facility user, and confirm the email address.

Step 3: Start a new X-ray registration

Choose the X-ray program and new machine registration. Enter the facility, contact, room, and machine information. Upload the requested records.

Step 4: Pay and save the registration

Pay the portal fee. Utah reports that a complete online registration is often processed in about two working days after payment.

Step 5: Report changes within 14 days and renew annually

Notify the state within 14 days when a machine is acquired, transferred, or disposed of. Complete the annual registration renewal and fee payment in the portal.
